Good News... Bad News

Isn't that how it always is? There's the good news and the bad news.... I'll start with the bad.

To put it bluntly, my hubs got fired on Friday.... Wow! Great that's all we needed! Hell, he's already been in search for a better job... now he's got no damn job! And the reason is so beyond retarded! Like 3mths ago he backed into a pole or some shit in the forklift. They wrote him up and told him if he hits anything else he's gone. Now let me tell ya, he's not the first and he certainly won't be the last forklift driver there to bump something. Well, he hasn't had one single accident since he was written up. But before that incident he had one or two much more minor bumps... BEFORE the one he was written up for! They knew this! Then they wait 3 damn mths with him not having one more freakin accident to fire him???? WTF?! My only thought on this is they decided since they are well aware he's been in search for a better paying job that they'll just go ahead and let him go... Assholes! Correction: Asshole! His two bosses directly above him think he's a great worker and weren't even aware he was being fired. The big boss made the decision and did the firing when hubs main manager was on vaca. Heck, his main manager person has written up employee recommendations for hubs to add to his resume because he's such a hard worker and she knows his worth as an employee! She's not happy one bit that he's been fired.... Neither am I! Stupid shit I swear!

Now for the good news.... One of the places hubs has recently applied for contacted him for an interview! Yay! He got that news the same day he was fired.... weird, but awesome! Praying his interview with them Friday goes well! Not banking on him getting hired there or anywhere immediately... gotta play it safe. So, he's already applied for unemployment and I've gone back to full time at the hell hole called McDs. Gotta do what we gotta do! Even if he doesn't get hired by them, him not working frees him up to really delve into the job hunting process.... guess that's the silver lining here.

Keeping our heads up and pressing forward. We've dealt with hard times before. I know we'll get past this just like we have other shit. We will overcome! Our attitudes will remain positive. We're gonna be ok I'm sure. Got a rough road ahead, but we're tough :) Don't worry bout us, we got this!

On totally unrelated news.... We put our worries aside and partied with friend for New Years. Had a blast drinking and letting loose! Even though 2011 ended on a not so happy note, I believe 2012 has great things in store for us and our family! Happy New Year 2012 y'all!!!!!!!
